Phil Collins announces return to music
Talking in Miami Beach on Wednesday whilst promoting his charity Little Dreams Foundation, the 62-year-old said: "I've decided I kind of missed that writing creative stuff, so I'm trying to get back into writing, and that's getting into a certain head space and personal drive."
Last month Collins told German media, "I have started thinking about doing new stuff ... some shows again, even with Genesis. Everything is possible. We could tour in Australia and South America. We haven't been there yet."

In 2011, Collins revealed he had lost the hearing in his left ear, had nerve damage in his hands, and had a dislocated vertebra in his neck, which meant he was no longer able to play the drums. He also told FHM, "I look at the MTV Music Awards and I think, 'I can't be in the same business as this'. I don't really belong to that world and I don't think anyone's going to miss me. I'm much happier just to write myself out of the script entirely. I'll go on a mysterious biking holiday... and never return. That would be a great way to end the story, wouldn't it?"
Collins found fame as the drummer in Seventies progressive-rock band Genesis. He later enjoyed a successful solo career, writing such hits as In the Air Tonight and Against All Odds. Collins won an Academy Award in 2000 for his song You'll Be in My Heart from Tarzan.
