'Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?' quiz: The winners' questions

From historical kings to children's authors, car manufacturers to signs of the zodiac, the questions asked on ITV's Who Wants to Be a Millionaire since it first aired on September 4 1998 have been anything but easy.

With the help of three "lifelines" - 50/50, phone-a-friend and ask the audience - contestants have guessed, gambled and gasped their way through 30 series of the quiz show; a total of 591 episodes.

The questions are so difficult that, during 17 years, only five lucky contestants have made it to - and correctly answered - the million-pound question.

The first was Judith Keppel, the only woman ever to win Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, who won the jackpot in 2000. Keppel was closely followed by David Edwards and Robert Brydges in 2001, then Pat Gibson in 2004, and Ingram Wilcox, the last contestant to win the show, back in 2006.

Do you know where duffel coats come from? Which town inspired Little House on the Prairie? The name of the world's highest active volcano? Test your knowledge with the definitive Who Wants to Be a Millionaire winners' quiz.

Five winners, 15 questions each. Could you have won the jackpot?
